What’s up, everybody! Halloween is done and over, so we’re back on track… sort of. This episode is a bit late because Dan has had some crazy car troubles, which you can hear about in EP018. Look for that soon. Other than that, let’s dive right in.

0:00 – 12:53

We started off the show chatting about our favorite fast-food and junk foods. Casey’s pizza, Chipotle’s freshness Vs Panchero’s burrito goo. Let’s just say it has been a bad week for our diets…

Price Chopper has officially killed off Dahl’s and renovated many of their stores. The Canadian-based corporation doesn’t necessarily have the best prices. But their ad is pretty decent. We put Walmart on blast because…Walmart.

Shaun briefly chatted about his experience at the Des Moines marketing conference called #Market515, which hosted the marketing mastermind behind Hy-Vee, Nathan T. Wright. The lemon heads got into just how great Target is as a store, too.

12:54 – 30:48

WWE superstar Seth Rollins tore his MCL and ACL at a house show in Dublin. With the injury, he was forced to relinquish the world heavy weight championship belt. We got into some chitter-chatter about the WWE as a production company, which includes movies and music, too.

Movies like See No Evil and Oculus sparked a late conversation on horror movies. The Evil Dead remake is one of da best while we are all lukewarm on It Follows.

30:49 – 56:53

#RIPSethRollins title reign and #RIP2MyYouth, which is The Neighbourhood’s lead single for their new album, Wiped Out! We got into a conversation about some seasonal nostalgia we get from music, new-new from Stray From the Path, Sam Gellaitry and Mr. Carmack’s new-new and more.

Shaun shared that he hasn’t listened to much music lately and has been obsessing over the release of Fallout 4. Also, he announced the new video game YouTube series of “Let’s Plays” we’re calling The EZPZ Plays with Fallout 4 and The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time being the first two titles. Check out The EZPZ YouTube channel to see some gameplay of each game in GLORIOUS HD 1080p 60FPS.

Some are hyped on the new Star Wars and some aren’t so much. We do have hope in it since JJ Abrams is directing.

56:54 – 59:33

Thank you so much for listening to The EZPZ Podcast. We do this for you and only you, yes, I mean you reading this right now.

HATE-MAIL? LOVE-MAIL? Any mail? Send it our way. We don’t bite and you’ll be on the show, I PROMISE!

Have you missed us? We have been really busy! Nick and Shaun went to Electric Forest Music Festival which is in Rothbury, Michigan. That is a 10-plus-hour drive from Des Moines! The lemon heads recorded a podcast the morning before Nick and Shaun departed for the festival. The ending segment of the show is special and features Nick and Shaun’s significant others. Let’s dive into the show notes! Do you like our newly colored logo? It was originally drawn by Nick Gandy and then friend of the show, Greg Rudolph, was commissioned by Shaun to select the color scheme, font and add some personality to it.

Episode 009 of The EZPZ Podcast started with the lemon heads discussing E3 2015. The video game conference was insane this year! Microsoft’s showing was the first up to bat. Shaun mentions that he covered E3 extensively on The EZPZ’s Twitter account. Shout out to all that favorited and shared those!

Microsoft announced Gears of War Ultimate edition due out in August. Rare Replay is coming out in August, too, which features 30 games for $30 from Rare’s extensive history of video game development including: Banjo Kazooie, Perfect Dark, Conker’s Bad Fur Day and Battletoads.

Halo 5 had an awesome trailer but the lemon heads weren’t extremely excited about it. Shaun said he was hoping he would lose a job because of Gears of War 4. The game is going to insane.

Sony had some great announcements which included the Final Fantasy VII remake, Kingdom Hearts 4, The Last Guardian and Uncharted 4. Nick recapped the Final Fantasy VII remake and asked Shaun some questions about the Kingdom Hearts world.

Bethesda had their own E3 conference where they unveiled a trailer with in-game gameplay for Fallout 4. Shaun wouldn’t shut up about how excited he was for that game to be released on November 11th, 2015. He even said that he pre-ordered the $120 collector’s edition as soon as he could. #StealthModeDan made sure to call Shaun out on his nerdy-ness and name him a level 99 wizard. Nintendo’s showing was relatively weak to Shaun’s dismay.

Music Interlude: “Be My Shawty” by Gravez

Shaun mentioned that he knows he speaks a little too quick at times but as quick as he was to admit it, he was just as quick to blame it on Dan’s bored-as-heck look he gives him at times during certain topics. The two joked about this situation and it led them into Dan’s week re-cap.

The lemon head’s moved into Dan’s ordeal with Verizon and getting a new iPhone 6. He ordered the phone on Saturday night online before the deal ran out. He got a confirmation email about how he was supposed to receive the phone on Tuesday. He got an email from Verizon on that Tuesday about how there was an error on their end and how he won’t be receiving the new phone. They discussed his options as to what he can do at Verizon to get them to give him the phone he paid for.

Dan also wanted to discuss a scary situation that occurred while he was at a party on the east side. As he and everyone were leaving the party, they saw a bunch of police cars flying through the neighborhood. A stabbing had occurred on the east side. Shaun mentioned that it was probably the same one that he had heard about at work and on the news.

Music Interlude: “Where We From” by Gravez

There is a robotic grocery store that will be the first of it’s kind in Des Moines at some point in the near future called Oasis 24 Seven. It is an automated robotic grocery store. The lemon heads fell down the lemon hole about grocery stores and Shaun had a booger peach story to share. Then they discussed gas stations and certain customers that can be a little too much as oppose to those that actually need special help.

Music Interlude: “Quinoa West” by Flybear

As stated earlier in the show notes, Nick and Shayna, Shaun and Lydia were on their way to Electric Forest music festival right after recording this podcast! So, Nick, Dan and Shaun sat down with Lydia and Shayna to discuss last year’s Electric Forest. They discussed Brandon Paulsen’s funny rage juice story, getting lost in the forest last year, Shayna’s port-o-potty reviews, Dan’s hangover that decimated his chances at a bangover and Dan seeing Donald Glover at Lollapalooza’s Porter Robinson and Madeon after-show.

Music Interlude: “Lullaby” by Astre

Thank you for listening to The EZPZ Podcast! Sorry for the late upload but Shaun had Electric Forest to attend and then went straight to Chicago for July 4th with Lydia

Show our guests some love!

Shayna – @Soulllsister

Lydia – @Lyddz

Show Greg Rudolph some love! He added some color, chose the font and color palette for our logo! Check out his stuff on

Gravez has released his entire discography online for free! His music was used for the first two music interludes! I highly suggest you snatch his stuff up now because he will be huge in the years to come!

The EZPZ Podcast EP005: Bust

The lemon heads are back this week with episode 005 of The EZPZ Podcast. Shaun went on a long-weekend vacation to Chicago with his girlfriend, Lydia and her mother. The lemon heads discussed how vacations are fun but get us antsy to get back home and keep up with routines.

Interlude: “Me Dé Amor” by Sango

The EZPZ boys dove into some comic news this week including a sequel to the Fight Club story in comic form. It is being produced by Dark Horse Comics and being released on May 27th! Nick wanted to chat about some DC Comics shows that are being developed like Super Girl, which is coming to CBS in November, 2015. Legends of Tomorrow and Teen Titans are also coming from DC in the future. Then the EZPZ boys showed their little-to-no knowledge of the Lethal Weapon and Die Hard movies…

Interlude: “Stahp” by Djemba Djemba

Waka Flocka Flame was announced as the third headliner to the 515 Alive festival in Des Moines!

Interlude: “Bust” by Waka Flocka Flame

#StealthModeDan also stumbled onto Flocka’s new single that was done as a partnership with Porn Hub Records. The lemons listened the song, “Bust”, and then discussed how bad the music video and song ended up being.

Interlude: “TaDaTa” by Kaytranada

During the break, Nick brought up that he has been turning his phone on “Do Not Disturb” to keep from being bombarded with notifications all day. Your phone still gets updates in this mode, but doesn’t buzz/ring every time there is a new text, Facebook update, Twitter mention or Instagram double-tap.

We fell down the lemon hole a bit and Dan mentioned that he uses SnapChat to chit-chat with producers. It has become a good way for Dan to sort of get his foot in the door of being a producer. Then the lemon heads moved into a little music discussion. Dan spoke about how OSHI and Sam Gellaitry dropped some new tracks on their SoundCloud this week. Then the lemon brains spoke about creating art and making sure to revisit and revise it to ensure quality output.

Shaun and Nick chatted about The Story So Far’s new, self-titled album. Then they briefly discussed Turnover’s wonderful album, Peripheral Vision. Shaun said that “Dizzy On A Comedown” off of Peripheral Vision is one of his favorite tracks of the year.

Interlude: “To Earth & Back” (OSHI Remix) by Sam Gallaitry

Thanks for listening to our show! We absolutely love recording it. Get connected with the lemon heads. Thank you to the PANTSoff Podcast, Shelby and Hunter for sending in your comments, queries and love! ❤

The EZPZ Podcast EP004: Habanero D**k

The lemon heads are back this week with episode 004 of The EZPZ Podcast. We’re afraid to announce that there will never be another episode 004 of the podcast. No worries, we will be back next week with the final episode 005 of the podcast. Now onto the show notes! We got to do a photo shoot, we got to do a photo shoot! Thanks to Estorie Photography and Graham Gardner Photography we got some really cool promotional shots of us. We will be posting them on and @TheEZPZ’s Twitter and Instagram. The EZPZ We dove right into the show recap. Shaun and Nick went to The Story So Far, Four Year Strong and Terror show at Wooly’s in Des Moines. Terror’s frontman, Scott Vogel, proved he is still the best frontman in hardcore. Shaun and Nick spoke about how their set brought out the biggest mosh pit. Four Year Strong are releasing their new, self-titled album, which is produced by Kurt Ballou at GodCity Records, is being released on June 2nd via Pure Noise Records. Four Year Strong put on an equally electrifying show. Four Year Strong’s set was enough for Shaun to proclaim that he was going to buy their next album. The lemon heads were somewhat perplexed that Parker Cannon, the lead singer of The Story So Far, just sang into the mic stand. The last time Shaun and Nick saw The Story So Far at Warped Tour 2014, Parker was a mad man on the stage. It ended up being fine because he sounded a lot better.

Music Break: “It Must Really Suck To Be Four Year Strong Right Now” by Four Year Strong

Cinco De Mayo has come and gone. Dan had a hilarious story of what happened to him while he was celebrating over a margarita. Nick spoke about how he got a tattoo by Paul Nycz, a well-known tattooer at Iron Heart Tattoo in Des Moines, Iowa. He explained he got the tattoos “Rise” and “Above” as a tribute to some Black Flag lyrics. The lemon heads fell down the lemon hole and chatted about Tony Hawk Pro Skater games and Silent Hill games. Tony Hawk Pro Skater 5 was announced for the PS4 and Xbox One with a release date sometime this year. Interlude: Unreleased track by Mura Masa Shaun stumbled on a music video by a face-tatted, white rapper known as Stitches and knew he had to share it with the other lemon heads. Then they chatted about how Stitches represents everything that is wrong with rap. He is a bad rapper that is also a well-known drug dealer raps about selling cocaine, money, drugs, and bitches. Right before the podcast, we all watched a video of a Stitches concert where he brought five of “the hottest bitches” on stage to do a “bump” with him. It was insane and pretty dumb of the women who partook since it is officially on the Internet forever.

Music Break: “Brick In Yo’ Face” by Stitches

Since we started this podcast in early April, the lemon heads wanted to catch the listeners up with their favorite releases of the year thus far. You can click here to see our lists. The beginning of the year was ruled by rap and hip-hop. Drake, Earl Sweatshirt, Big Sean, Tyler, the Creator and Kendrick Lamar, who arguably released the best album of the year. Dan made it a point to bring up two of his favorite pieces of work, Mura Mara’s Someday Somewhere and Sam Gallaitry Short Stories EP. Both artists are under 20-years-old. Dan and Shaun state how rare it is to hear a producer that young make such intricate beats. It seems that most kids their age that are doing anything musically are in a punk band. Dan’s honorable mentions also include producer-prodigy: OSHI. The EZPZ expects big things from the 17-year-old who is rumored to sign to Soulection Records at some point this year. Shaun spouted out some of his favorite albums, you can read the full list here.

Music Break: “Temple” by Sam Gallaitry
